Teaching
Charlotte has been teaching voice for over 15 years, with more than 14 years on faculty at the National Cathedral School in Washington, DC. Throughout her career, she has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced singers, helping them discover their unique vocal strengths and build confidence in their musical abilities. Charlotte’s teaching philosophy emphasizes a personalized approach, focusing on both technique and expression to allow each student to find their authentic voice.
In addition to her work at the National Cathedral School, Charlotte is serving as a staff voice teacher for the Chorister Program at the Washington National Cathedral, where she teaches all 54 choristers and apprentices in rotation with other staff, leads sectional rehearsals, studio classes, performance tech classes, and assists with other aspects of the chorister program.
Charlotte has previously served as the Director of the St. Cecilia Children's Choir at St. John’s Church Lafayette Square in Washington, DC. In this role, she helped to cultivate a vibrant, thriving choral program that fosters a love of music and a sense of community among young singers. She previously also served on the voice faculty of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA, and at the National Children's Chorus in Washington, DC, where she guided students in musical growth, helping them refine their vocal skills while nurturing their appreciation for the art of music.
Charlotte's expertise spans a wide range of genres, including classical, musical theater, and contemporary music, allowing her to guide students through a diverse array of vocal styles. Whether preparing for auditions, performances, or simply building vocal technique, Charlotte is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, explore their potential, and grow. She is passionate about fostering a deep love and appreciation for music, and she works tirelessly to ensure her students have the tools they need to succeed both as musicians and as confident individuals.

Flexibility
Students are not required to commit to an entire semester of lessons upfront. Students may sign up for lessons as their availability allows, giving them the freedom to explore their interest in voice around busy academic and extracurricular schedules.
Whether seeking consistent lessons or ad hoc before an important audition, students have the freedom to learn
at their own pace, on their terms.
